Ankle Boots and Booties

I rarely see these around here. It seems to be mostly an American thing. Booties or ankle boots. I am not sure if I love these. They never do justice to legs, short boots tend to shorten legs (please take notes here). Remember, beauty is all about proportions. So it doesn't take much to ruin an outfit, or a figure for that matter.
So here are some booties I did appreciate, they work with jeans. The stacked heel and the frilly laces are great complements. Remember, good posture is everything (take more notes)!!

Here are some MaryJanes I saw yesterday. An odd but welcome sight in Italy, where MaryJanes are not worn enough:

Here are some great round toe pumps with the worked heel. I thought these died out in the late 90's... I remember designers trying to push these. There is something unflattering about them. I can't put my finger on it... These are the hollow heel ones I saw a few days ago, I'll let you judge:

And... last bu not least, the evolution of summer wedge sandals. These are worn, but worth it. Simple, clean lines. A must have:
